Tyres Birmingham: importance of such testing

The Mot test is a thorough examination of vehicles in which almost all the parts of the vehicles are checked in order to ensure that they have not damaged to a great level which can make the vehicle unsafe for use on the road. While searching for the mot centres in Birmingham you may find number of them and it is always advisable to get your car checked from the government approved centres. Mot tests needs to be performed on the cars and the motorbikes annually which are being used for more than three years. This check ensures that your car is safe to be driven on road. Such types of checks includes checking of lights, brake performance, vehicle identification number, general condition of the vehicle, exhaust system and even the basic things like tyre.
The tyre Birmingham inspection is done in number of ways. The nominal size and the aspect ratio of the wheels are checked initially. The aspect ratio of 80% and 82% is considered to be absolutely identical and normal and therefore can be safely used by the vehicle.  The width, the type of tyre and the condition of the tyres are also checked during such inspection.  The tyres are checked for cuts, tears, exposure of the ply or the chord etc.  The structural deterioration of the tyre is given high importance during the check and the car owner is advised to change the tyre if the condition is very poor and is not safe to drive on roads.
The inspection of the tyre also includes valve condition and alignment, incorrect seating in the wheel rim, correct fitting etc.  The valve condition and alignment is checked because even a small damage or misaligned valve stem can cause sudden deflation of tyre.  During the inspection it is also checked whether the tyre is incorrectly seated on the wheel rim or not.
The tread depth of the tyre is also done during the tyre Birmingham inspection.  In this process the grooves of the treads are checked over the complete circumference of the tyre. The tread depth is also checked in order to see whether the tire meets the necessary requirements or not.
The tyre Birmingham checks tyres for fouling apart of the vehicle and the tyres on the twin wheels are also checked for wall contacts. The tyre Birmingham inspection therefore sees to it whether the condition of the tyre is perfect for the vehicles or not.
